Make sure the compression tester is threaded in tight. Also hold the throttle wide open while cranking and don't stop cranking until the needle quits rising on the gauge.

If its a Harbor Freight compression tester, don't trust the reading, they are junk! Every one I have used has read 50-80psi lower than a legit compression tester.

It stalled out lol I had to leave town for work. I appreciate the help and plan on getting started on it again when I get home dec 3rd. I've been offered a Kawasaki Mojave a blaster and a 300ex for it but my plan is try to use your advice and keep it or ray speed has a dale he might trade me if I add some cash.

Finally got a sweet Dale and ready to ride if anybody in the Vegas area wants to hit the desert!

Thank you, I think I got a pretty good deal too. It has a fresh updated motor clean title and came with three different colored sets of plastic. I put on one of the spare sets because the blacks are so nice lol. Now I just need to find somebody to ride with. Riding alone is getting old lol

Saw it on craigslist and ebay. Nice score has the crank been updated?

We are doing a sand mountain trip end of April if you want to come up to northern Nevada.

It sure has, I haven't been to Sand Mountain since 1993 so yeah when you get the dates set let me know!
