Coming 2 San Diego! Where 2 Ride?

I'm coming to San Diego Jan-Feb for a school and I'm thinking about bringing my Cannondale. How close to San Diego is there riding and racing? I race Harescrambles and need to get some good training time because as soon as I get back to MO the series begins. Anyone interested in doing some serious riding? I really don't want to go out by my self and get lost.
