Flagstaff AZ Cinders riding area

#1 Post by thunderwolf »

Went for a riding trip up in the mountains of AZ, needed to get out of the blazing heat of the desert for a little while. I finally took the camera with me on a trip, but I only got a couple of pictures. Riding is much more fun than taking pictures. The weather was awseome, got some rain, some clouds and about 3" of 3/8" size hail. There are alot of trails there with a ton of whoops. The hills there are HUGE. They are made up of small volcanic rock. Alot of them were impossible to climb without paddles.

...As an NAU Lumberjack, now I'm Oh so homesick!!

An experience you would Never forget is standing under a Ponderosa Pine to escape a Flagstaff hailstorm! take your pick,
it's either lightning or pummeling!

Stole this pic of one of the hills in the area, and it's not even close to being the biggest.
