car help

#1 Post by Cdale_racer_669 »

alright i put some CLC block weld stuff into my car,and now it has coolant in it;and the heater quit getting warm. i replaced the thermostat and it still doesnt get warm. what could be the problem? no heater just sucks:eek:

edit: the block weld stuff is to put in the coolant system and it plugs rad holes etc etc.

Did you check to see if you have circulation in your heater core??

Block weld probably clogged your heater core. You can try back fushing the core by taking the hoses off at the firewall and putting water from the garden hose through it backwards.

I probably wouldnt give this car long to live. Block weld is just a bad idea imo. If the car actually needs something in the block sealed goop in a can is not a fix.
