Ok, there has been talk of another group ride further to the south to attract some members that usually can't make it. I'm gauging interest and looking for riding spots. I'm fully aware of some great spots in Kentucky, Northern Tennessee, and of course Hatfield/McCoy.

So, who's in and who else knows of some good riding spots in the south?

Locations, locations...

There is a good place near Oak Ridge/Knoxville TN called Coal Creek. The trails are very much like Majestic and H-M. However, I would think going to H-M would be our best bet for getting a turnout. The place is absolutely legendary and worth driving across the country for. So, if there are southern or mid-western riders that haven't made it to the norhteast previously, H-M would be worth going to regardless of group ride or not. The group would be just another push to make the ride a must. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be hard to get the norhtern contingent to make the drive, either.

H/M doesn't lend itself to a group ride that we're used to. We have to trailer to the trailhead from the campground. Also, there is no mx track and no drags. I love H/M though. Great marked trails. I would definitely be ok with it. I just would like to cater to everyone.

There is a great place in Clay City, KY that offers everything that we're used to. It is great camping. I'm not sure if they allow drags or not. I could contact them and find out.

The truth is, there are lots of riding spots out there but not a lot that are as good as Majestic. That place is awesome. I'm looking for spots that are similar to what we're used to.

Should we decide this based on location or quality of the riding spot?

In for any of the above, what about Wayne National in southern Ohio that place is just as good as H-M if not better, but i think we went to the wrong place @ H-M, they had camping right @ the trail head and you could also rent cabins there at the trail head, forget what it was called, also Wayne National has some riding down buy the Ohio river never been to that one.

The Browning Fork trail at Hatfield has camping and there is a MX track but i am not sure if it is for open riding.

I keep losing posts for some reason. I must not be doing something right. Anyway, the new Indiana Ridge trailhead at H/M has cabins and camping I think. I don't remember seeing camping at the Browning Fork/Rockhouse trailhead but I do remember some camping and cabins right in the town of Mann, which is within ridable distance to the trailhead.

Keep coming with the suggestions.

speed450mx, if you can think of any riding spots between us and you, let me know. At this point, anything is a possibility.

hey that is just about 30 miles from my house. It seems there are some people that think that area is a lot of rough riding.
