Nope, I do want to make it to St. Joes again, but without the kids so I can hit more of those trails. What's it like in November there? St. Joes is nice!

Kevin,
Do you live in Vegas? I work for a casino, and I've been out there the past 2 years for the gaming show. They don't have me going this year....at least not yet. I love going out there. It looks like it would be a blast to ride out there!

sure do; we moved out here last october from miami, what a change.....for the good though other than i miss the water! im with a low voltage firm specializing in pro audio, video, and control; and do most of our work on the strip as well. who do you work for? yes, there are alot of near by places to ride out here. we have our local dunes / all kinds of riding 15mns away "APEX or Nellis dunes", along with "Amargosa / Big Dune" and "Dumont" which both are 90miles away in either directions. There are few other awsome dunes to ride on; "sand hollow" which has a lake and dunes / trails in Utah which is 120miles from here.....not to mention Mt. Charleston which is 35mins away from Vegas that goes up to over 8000 feet and has a all year round 30* swing......did a night ride over the weekend. if you or anybody ever makes it out this way let me know; we love to ride!

Early Nov.is still nice maybe mid 50s,little rainy at times. It is a fun place to ride. There is a new place about a hour away from their called Leerjack, right next to Sam A.Baker state park.It has groomed trails, mudpits,mx track and sand dragstrip.I hope to make it there this year.I think the area consists of 4,500 acres.

WI is not kid friendly for public trails.Believe it or not when you cross a road you are supposed to push the kids quad across! They are allowed on all the trails but no roads or routes. That really limits things.I believe this applies till they are 12 and have taken the DNR safety course.

That said this place is a real good time for kids since its all trail and even the track is fun for the kids.If you want to go sometime just let me know.

This isn't a bad place either.

It is just a small MX track but does have a seperate pee wee track as well and costs $15. Very rider friendly for the beginner. No real worries about the sound at this location either. The Tigerton location has some nice trails and a nice challenge course as well. Down side is I would make sure your quad is 96db as the DNR do check up on that location.
