I may be famous but I sucked at the Harescramble! Way out of shape, rocks everywhere and at about a hour either fuel pump or fuel lines screwed me over. Embarrassing really. But I guess I at least didn't finish last. Goes to figure though everyone is watching and first DNF ever. Not too bad though considering it was first time out on quad and only 5 minutes on new motor. Personally the course was so rocky I was almost glad I had an excuse to quit.

The promoter even put my pic on all the quad plaques. Never the long travel on yet thank god! They would have taken a beating. I will tell you what. YFZ a-arms and swingarm skids can't take rocks. Stock and aftermarket aluminum. You should have seen the damage on every one of them if they managed to even stay attached. laugh.gif

Gotta love promoters like that.

Hey, I have a great idea...lets as the first race of the year slam and destroy your machine over the worst terrain possible. People who just spent the winter and their hard earned money rebuilding their machines can go trash them in the first race. That is a great way to have people not show up to races the rest of the season. unsure.gif

Oh I don't know, all I got was a couple dents in my rims and my butt. But then, I wasn't on a yamaha either, LOL.

Its true. Damage depended on what you did and what you were riding. Was a few who said they would never run there again. There is always some factor at any race though. At least there wasn't dust and it sure whipped a guy into shape quick. I would definitly do it again and like the perfect soil around the rocks with no dust or mud.
