do they make an aftermarket frame for a cdale motor?

No link refers to the lack of a link in the rear suspension to the swing arm. The shock bolts directly from the frame to the swing arm.

Look at the bottom of the 400 you have an extra link from the bottom of the shock to the swing arm. An extra link. On a cannondale there is no extra piece the shock bolts directly to the swingarm.

Z400's, Yamaha's and hondas all have the link. I am not sure of it's importance to travel and all, but I know that without the link I like the ride of my dale much better than my Z. I have the same Elka suspension on both too.
