i was wondering if any body had any ideas to repair a cracked frame i just found 1 in mine right where the steering stem bearing plate attachs to bottom of frame its about 1.50 inches long on the left side i think it happend when my dale was going through astalling phase (idle to low a little turn fixed her right up) bike sralled 3rd gear pinned on a 50 foot table i became a human lawn dart then 400ex landed on top of us so my ? stands weld leave it or find anew frame

Get it welded. These frames are the toughest around. I cant believe what mine has been through and not a bend or crack yet. Find a "good" welder, might cost $50 bucks but it's worth it. You may have to strip alot of stuff off the quad in order for the welder to get the meg welding head in there.

Take it to an "Aircraft" welder. He'll have the high frequency or squareware tig equipment plus the knowledge of welding on heat-treated aluminum structures such as these frames.

thanks for info the frame is 80% stript iwanted to do 450 kit and then i saw abbots quad and started polishing thats when i found it still to chicken to start unhooking wires oil lines &vacum lines (it,ll never work )

John, Let me know if you find someone. I also have a crack I want welded. I do have Nascar(Busch series) Garage like two miles from my house, I'm sure they can do it but I'm just to chicken :w: to do it.

Take it to an Aircraft airframe welder. He'll be very experienced with welding structures such as these.
