HELP Sparks are flying!!!!

Well I put my motor back in, Ive connected everything except for the battery. When I try to ground the neg. connection , Sparks fly!!! I'm wondering if I messed up the pos. connections on the other side.:cry:

just make sure all your plugs are undone before you hook the battery up, like the selinoid and teh other two plugs on teh positive side, and make sure that the fuse is pulled out and the key is off or out. alwas put the positive side on first with teh battery kind of out of the quad, slide the battery back in, then connect the neg side
then hook up the bracket, your plugs and your good to go:)

Figured it out. I had the two pos. cables crossed up. They both appeared to have the same connection. Hopefully I fried nothing.

you never put the positive side on first. put the negative on first then the positive

ocmanjoe you got that backwards the negative is first to come off and last to go back on. That way if your wrench touches the frame when installing the pos post you dont complete a circuit .
