when i put my winky crank in i put ball bearings on both ends, i took out roller bearings, i did not and have not had any problems yet, two nationals, several district races and still running great. I got these bearings with the crank, i like it because it eliminates all of the end play, which i think had something to do with the failures.

Plummer1111 before you put the 6205 bearing on how did you remove the inner race from the crank?I wonder if you had one of those Cleaned stock cranks I saw.It may have been turned down for the 6205 already and if used with a stock bearing that would easily wreck a stock bearing.Did it have H-beam rod on it with thrust washers along with rpm rating printed on it?If not it is just a cheaper version of a Winky crank.

I also used ballbearings same part number.Crank failed but the main bearings were fine.

im pretty sure its not a winky crank because the description that winky gave me doesnt match.there was no inner race just the complete bearing.
