How do you know the # off the production line?

This might be a dumb ? but I have read a few posts that state their cannondale is a unit # off the line. How do you find out which unit # you own?

I'll just give you this, pretty good Info:

Digit # 10 is the year of the bike

Digit # 4 is the model of the bike

Last Digits are # off line

Model Letters
FX400 - A
Cannibal - B, A, or F (A??????????????????s were usually redone FX400??????????????????s)
Speed - C
Blaze - D
Moto - E
Glamis - G

Ex???????????????s:
5B6FD31GX3B000153 - 2003 Cannondale Cannibal #153
5B6EB31302B000031 - 2002 Cannondale Moto #31
