Why would you not go to the insurance company? Nothing goes against you. Guy hit your car- his insurance pays to fix it. You go on with your life.

His insurance company won't cover it unless he admits fault.
I do not want to make a claim on my insurance.

what kind of screwed up insurance system do you have there? Nobody will ever admit fault. The campus police mans word I think would be more than enough to prove your case.

I would hope the cop's report would be enought. I'd go for it!
