His is a Bridgeport running Bobcam.Works great.All the programs are different and take getting used to.

Does Timbo have a CNC machine? If so, which one and how big? Maybe he can make new Dale blocks and heads from billet? wink.gif

Its a Haas 4axis and another one.Plenty big enough to do a block or head.Wouldnt that be cool!

Additonal research indicates that although the Sherline would work fine for me. I will probably purchase a little heavier duty maching. Still in the Micro deptartment. Seems that there are several that can be modified to CNC for under the cost of the Sherline and bring better repeatable parts to the world. Gecko Drives, steppers/servo, Cad, Cam, etc.

Alot of research pending but it should be some fun putting together. Now if I was electrically competent, I would source my own and go from there.
