TAking off axle<HELP>

thats what ive been doing but no matter witch way i turn it it seems to tighten up again.

is there a clip or somthing that i must take out before i take the lock nut out (peice of aluminum with the three holes.)

No, just turn it forward and it should loosen. Keep turning forward, it has to loosen.

it turns foward fine for a little while then all the sudden stops at the same point everytime even when i crank at it hard.

get your self a little pipe wrench or chanel lock and turn it forward and that will make it loose, then use the pipe wrench or screw driver to tap the threded collor over to the right a little and take the little locks off and then you can slide that threded piece off, then you will need something to get the snap ring off with so that the carrier will come out, or if just taking the axle out you wont need to remove the snap ring

I had to cut one of mine off.Dirt somehow got into the threads and even a 4ft cheater bar on a pipe wrench wouldnt budge it.

Mine was pretty hard to get off too but somehow I managed. I didn't need a 4 ft cheater bar though. I hope yours isn't that bad.

Its not the end of the world if you have to cut it off. They aren't very expensive. Just try not to damage the axle splines when you do it. I have a couple extras because I seem to ruin threads on them pretty regularly. Call caniboomer or blackwidow or peterock and order two. If you are racing, your going to need two of everything anyway.

mine is loose but not off i can turn it the same way but then it tightens again.
