You just get the quad off the ground so no pressure is on them then using one hand push down to expose snap ring. Then easiest way is to use a snap ring pliers and just get it out of groove then work way around with a screwdriver and the pliers.
I take the frond-end off the ground and remove the lower plate that holds the spring, then its very easy to re-locate the upper snap-ring. 60 seconds per shock
