Sure looks like they made this to be a affordable quad.Once all the leftovers are gone new quads like the YFZR or X are going to be more than most can afford.I think this is a good idea.Lots of guys mod most everything anyway so why waste good expensive stock shocks and such when they get changed out anyway.

yes but there is alot of good conversion places like gt thunder and jet suspension that can take the stockers and make the perform like aftermarkets at a fraction of the price of new shocks

Don't forget the Shock Doc. He's the only one I use!
I still haven't seen a fuel injected quad that could start quicker than the properly tuned YFZ. When all riders are close in capabilities, those starts can make or break the dead start races huh. I like Yamaha's idea here, plus those used YFZ aftermarket parts can be picked up for a song. Surprised they got rid of the X.
