Skid Plate

My trick was when there was not a skid plate on I took the bolts I was going to use and slide them throught and threaded the nut on a ways and then put gorilla(sp) glue on the inside of the nut to hold it there. Drink 3 bud light and then it should be dry and then find the smallest neddle nose plyer you can find and start to from there thats how I did it and once I did that it took about 30 mins from there

I still havent started it yet. Playing with a stage 8 kit on my new motor.

Wouldnt it be a good idea to duct tape the nuts in place before starting?

If you can get your hands in there to duct tape them, then by all means!

I put the nuts in a box end wrench- not much problem at all. Give it a shot.

Here is an idea - put them in the box end wrench and then duct tape one side of the box - to keep the nuts from falling out and a little pressure to be applied to them to get the threads started... that sounds like a good combo

I dunno. I have put mine on and taken it off about a dozen times and I haven't had one problem. I even have fat fingers. I know it took a little bit longer with the swingarm on the quad, but with the swingarm off the quad you can do it real easy like.

PS I had to put a new chain on that is why it worked.

I used the same technique but with a ratchet type box wrench that had a lip on the outside to keep the nut from going through. No problems at all.
