Do you have or has there ever been a ProDesign kill switch on it?
Look at the wires leading to your coil and the wires where all the switches plug in.

no never a pro design. i had a cheap maier on it for a while and that worked fine for a long time until the switch on the inside of it broke now i'm running a pingel but that as well is disconected

Was the switch plugged in or was it spliced in if spliced look there.
Have you disconnected fuel pump?

Oh man I forgot the most common one.At the solenoid you have a blue and a red small wires they get plugged into the plug with the small black wires.The other plug with the two red wires(big)goes into the plug with two red wires.

Another way to find it.....Disconnect the ECU, then stick a paperclip in the slot where the fuse goes. Then just look for flames, that will be your short.
Man, you are just going to have to pick it to death. I am guessing the solonoid, but you are just gonig to have to examine every single piece of that harness.

yeah i'm thinking it's the harness somewhere because eveything else is unpluged and disconnected i'm going to pull out the whole harness tonight when i get off of work

everything is disconnected and i mean everything and there looks to be no bare wires and it is still shorting out. i dont know whats going on. does anyone know of any places that work on cannondales in arizona? because i am tired of working on this thing and plus i have a warranty from a aftermarket company. the best 700 dollars i've ever spent on this bike.

Are you sure its the coil?Alot of times it can be the wires going to the coil.
