Timbos numbers were with a 450 but who knows what size the CRF motor is?Its not 450 anymore.Flow tests were done with Dougs cams,Porting is not at max,way bigger stroke 500cc worth, better crank ventilation, aluminum axle like crf has and a few more tricks we have thought of.But most of all mapping which we didnt have anywhere near right on dyno.Consider the CRF history. Will we make 60hp?Maybe.But the CRF only made 56.You can count on this starting a dyno war again here.I bet the guy is already spending $.I know people are talking.Or rather wishing:D

I recall him saying something about a new 510 cc kit for the crf for next season.

Sorry guys. I'm excited to see the numbers Timbo put down. I'm sure that you guys can get 60hp if you keep going at it. I don't want to totally hijack your thread. I think it would be could to see a mx-able 450 throw down 50 plus hp and plenty of tq to go with it. For instance, rather than a lighter axle I'm going to try moving my fuel system.

Timbo,
Can you make Doug's cams work with this set up and stay under the 450 mark?

Thats cheating! This past weekend bud of mine brought out his 500Quadzilla motored Honda 250r and just litterally annihalated all the 4strokes at local 1/2mi oval.Second moto he even let them all leave first.Sell it to that place that jerks out the crf450 motors and puts the 500 in.Bet they would pay good $.Service Honda I believe.

A big reason its hard to make horsepower on the dales is indeed the cyclinder head. The design of the exhaust port is the biggest flaw of all. The way the exhaust port is designed it makes it nearly impossible to open the port up. If you could do somthing on the exhaust side you could make some major horse power...but the way the headpipe bolts on really screws things up there. Another big horsepower loss is valve float...the cannondales have a major issue with floating valves. I know with my rev limit up around 13,500 rpms i cant keep valve springs in it. Kibblewhite says that their springs will take the abuse. We will find out.
