Actually, they DID run out of money! Sales were the highest ever when they shut down, by that point they were too far in debt and the suppliers stoped shipping parts. Cannondale doesn't even own Cannondale anymore, Pegasus does.

I'm late getting in on this, as I was at the dunes all weekend. The subject has clearly changed, but I noticed a few things about these pics.

First off, the obvious - never mind the ugly stick, this thing went through the ugly forest and hit every ugly tree in it.

Not sure how it got through there with no gas tank or battery.

The darker side cover looks different than mine - looks like the flange around the oil filter cover comes out quite a bit further. Maybe it's shadow trick.

The already mentioned poor chain adjustment and different swingarm.

The front plastic is held on by the bracket that normally holds a headlight on. it's just bent outward.

Overall, if they cheese up a quad like this for a major show, how are they going to cheese up the ones that hit the showroom floor? I'm not impressed, personally, but I will take a "wait and see" approach.

Let me throw this out there. I had a conversation with Justin about the group ride, expressed to him the value in putting together a quad that we the current owners buy into, and that bringing one to the ride could offer some great benefits to Dinli.

We'll have to see if they can get a prototype ready by May, but I would think they'd have to be close if their planning to ship in October.
