try blowing it out with some carb cleaner then putting some pb blaster or something similar on it...there might be some dirt trapped it there..try to get ti out..

it seems like the threads are stuck on the lock nut and wherever it goes the threads go.
is this possible?

if so the splines on the threaded piece are stripped and you will need hold them somehow...or as said earlier cut the preload nut off....

i am trying to change my axle out to a diffrent one how can i do this becuase i have a race tomorrow and need the lock nut and ect to still be good?

then it is stripped inside..you need a new one...can you get a pipe wrench on the threaded piece when it it partially out...if so put a pipe wrench on the threaded piece and the preload nut and take off.....
