Diamonds are not that rare. DeBeers wants you to think so. They say you shuold spend 3-4 months salary on an engagement ring. I can't believe they want young couples to go into that much debt. DeBeers is a diamond cartel that keeps diamond prices high by controlling the market. Moissanite is almost as hard as a diamond and actually has more fire (sparkle).
There are many other gemstones that are much more rare than diamonds and much less expensive.

Most people don't know the diffenence between real and fake jewelry anyway. They only know if they take it to a jewler. So with that in mind, real diamonds equals a real waste of money. That 3 to 4 months salary on an engagement ring thing is outrageous. Of course the diamond dealer would like it if you would do that. I say, buy the cheapest one you can get away with. There is a 50-50 chance she is going to flush it down the toilet in a fit of rage anyway.

I prefer Titanium. Then if you get it back would at least make a nice hose clamp

Took my sweety out on her new christmas toy. She never drove a sled before but instead of crying for 20 minutes with the ring I could hear her giggling and laughing as she tooled around the bay. Then she gave me a ride and proceded to "accidentally " gas it too much and we went into a power slide. I knew a flip was coming so I bailed and took her with me. We just fell off into the snow and the sled righted itself and coasted to a stop. Karen thought that was the funniest thing ever.
Here she is in her hot pink outfit and purple sled .LOL
