There are plenty of pre-ssm cases with magnesium covers, worse yet most where not powdercoated.sad.gif

As Thomez said, I am in Ravenna Township on Brady Lake Rd. I also do have the SSM case and since I decided to start riding the thing:clap: , I will have a winter project.

Ok, i'm now confused about the SSM case. I looked behind my front sprocket and i didn't see any cannondale stamp but i may not be looking in the right area. Are you talking about the flat part on the engine (parrallel to the ground) that leads down to the swingarm? The only thing on my engine back there is a aluminum serial number plate screwed in near the ft sprocket.

look below the front sprocket, or above the drain plugs.

no cannondale stamp anywhere. So I guess i have a pre-ssm case. Sweet!
