Nothing some JB weld can't fix...

Is that all off the same motor?

Did you drop a valve? Don't tell me you broke a piston then found your crank bearing and cams were both bad after the teardown.

That is from a seized engine a customer brought.

The wristpin let go, that's why the engine stopped running, and when tearing the engine down I also noticed the cams were bad and the crankbearing was bad...

But I'll have the engine ready next weekend and then there will be another updated Cannondale riding around in Europe.

So far I have updated/rebuild 4 complete quads for customers, and a X440S. One of them allready has 50 hours (has an hour meter).

Oh, and it didn't drop a valve btw

Ok so you say you dont need to use a torque wrench on the cam caps. Who cares if it mushrooms the cam cap holes and deforms the cap.

Big deal if it overloads the cam bearing and breaks the bearing cage.

And all the cage particles wipe out the cams and buckets. So what....

No biggie if the chunks make their way down to the scavange pump and destroy the housing. I've got a metal oil pump gear and its not going to stop.

Heck it will just snap the drive pin off and tweak the shaft.

At least we put a new aluminum impellar on the rotten valve cover and kept on using green coolant.
