My point was, will it be a good compound or something they threw to the side knowing it wasnt good enough for what they need. If it was me, I would talk with the guys around where you will be racing and talk with them about compounds and such. Every track is different, soil,heat,weather conditions. There are numerous factors invovled with TT racing. It is a very technical sport. It is also one of the fastest and funnest.

Most of the guys at the tracks I run will only run thier tires for 3 or 4 races. They say that i would not see the difference at first. But after a few races they say I would be able to tell. So if your just trying it out a usd set would be good for one or two races.
