I run Amsoil 10w40 motorcycle oil in the motor and 75w90 gear lube in the tranny.

Wow run whatever ya wanna run its your machine an all and I know nutzing!
Wow... really... 75w90? Synthetic at least I hope! I would hate to start it at freezing temps... put a bottle in the freezer and see how it pours! Thats probably a hypoid oil which pretty much everyone including the manual says is not a good idea.
I am starting to switch over from red line to just using rotella synth in both sides, but I am a cheapo and thats gotta be the most bang for the buck!
Heavy oil does not cool as well so keep that in mind.
