In my car I listen to all kinds of stuff on the way up to a trail ride, no particular genre, I am very open. Old stuff back to CCR and Zeplin or new stuff, or jazz, sometimes Ill flick it over to classical just to calm myself. When Im on the track though I bring my iPod out with and stick it in one ear. I made a hardcore mix for it. Hardcore mix consists of numerous albums/songs from the following bands:

Pantera
Mushroomhead
Mudvayne
Five Pointe 0
Deftones
System of a Down
Fear Factory

Before a race I listen to anything that gets the adrenaline going. Sometimes that means Slipknot, Godsmack, Audioslave to ACDC, GNR. I am really not into hardcore stuff but sometimes it gets me going.
