Cannondaleriders

I know this has probably been answered already, just too lazy to search for the answer. Has anyone come up with a replacement for the ball joints on the dales?

no not yet and i have been looking to :mad:

cut the old ones off and put 400ex joints in. they are actually the same as VW joints. look for how JBBSpeed he did.

Why are you wanting to switch the ball joints? The new stock ones work pretty well and don't really fail. But if you really want to put new ones on...

New stock ones from where? I guess this goes back to how do you tell if you have the BAD ball joints. How do you identify the bad from the good ones?

happy i do have new ones from atk
about a yr old now but one on top and one bottem one have gone bad all most to much play in them now to be safe.

The stock ball joints do get a bit of play in them right off the start from that stupid little nylon insert inside of them. (from my understanding) But, if you grease them right when you get them and then keep them lubed they last quite a while.

From what I can tell you pretty much have to replace ball joints every year if you are rough on them. Thank god I am light as a feather!!
