Which is the best header to use?

I am in the process of making my tc pipe fit with my 250r conversion kit and I was trying to figure out which year pipe would work the best. I hear that the 02 has more clearance for the oil line then the 03 but does the 03 make any more power or is the power curve just different? It doesnt matter how hard it is to fabricate the pipe set up as long as it works good and the performance is not harmed. I was thinking of make shifting a way to get the 02 header to fit.... Any reasons why I shouldn't? Thanks

The 03 has more clearance than the 02's from the oil line. If you want an 03 set-up you need another midpipe made. Send Farrar a PM and I am sure he can hook you up at a reasonable price.

Anyone? How about some close up pics of a header after it has been modded to fit the tc pipe on a conversion?

I have 03's on mine. You don't have to modify the header on a conversion. You only need a mid pipe built for whatever year header you are using.
