Rear axle hub...WONT COME OFF!!!

are the rear axle hub nuts on a cannibal reverse thread?? I have tried everything to get this thing to break, WITH NO LUCK!! I have used an impact, added heat, breaker bar with a 4 ft extension... nothing...


PLEASE ANY IDEAS?? sad.gif

Nope standard thread. Might have been stripped on by a previous owner. Heat it up with the torch and try again.

Ok... did that, the nut started to get a little red... still won't budge. I am going to try and get a 1 in impact tomorrow...


Any ideas if that doesn't work?:confused:

Mine did that also.It was just dirt in the threads.Only way I could get it off was a diegrinder with a cutoff wheel.Cut a slot in it.Was going to add a bolt and reuse it but decided to get a Lonestar antifade hub instead.

I had trouble like that with mine. An impact wouldn't budge it. I broke a Craftsman 1/2" ratchet using a cheater bar. We heated it up until it glowed red, then hit it with the impact until it slowly backed out.
