Seat Latch

I just lost my seat screw knob and can't find the post on how to make your own seat latch. Can somebody help me!

i havent had a seat latch in over a year now...and never lost the seat smile.gif

there is something called gravity.... and it does not like fat people that much so i never get to fly that much :mad:

i made a seat latch after the same happened to mine. its very similar to a lonestar and in my opinion i think its ten times better. thick aluminum plate bent on a 90 with a brake (bending machine). holes drilled to fit standard hood pins from a car and 2 more bolts and nuts to hold it secure. all you need is some skill and the rite tools.

i do have another seat latch that i made for a friend but he never got around to picking it up so i would sell it if your interested. $50 shipped and it does come with the clips, there just not shown in the picture.

Thanks, but I think I am going the Armonks route. I all ready got the post tapped. Just need to order the bolt and pins.

My seat knob comes out from time to time when I'm riding but I have never lost it. Basically, it seized into the brass fitting inside the seat. So now when I screw it back into the seat, I'm actually screwing the brass part into the plastic. Like I said, it doesn't always hold but the brass part is too big to fall through the hole. The only time I ever lost my seat was going down the interstate. The wind blew it off and it landed safely on the trailer.biggrin.gif
