Fuel hoses

#1 Post by twisted »

On the right of the quad, the fuel return line has a nice gash in it and gas is spilling out... Where can I get a new one?

Just get good Fuel injector hose. Be sure to tell them its EFI. Normal hose can't handle the PSI. And get good crimp clamps.

The thin OD stuff is nice for that tight connection at the regulator. I have the OEM-sized high psi hose $2/ft, or the narrow stainless braid teflon $3.50/ft, and clamps, clamp-pliers, sleeving, or a kit, etc. pacrimdm@msn.com

fyi, that damage can be caused by the wire clamp at the valvecover nipple, or a sharp ear from an oetiker clamp, just depending your tank and routing. It's good to keep the bulges of any clamps positioned away from potential rubbing.

No autoparts store carry this hose. It's 1/4" ID and the smallest anyone carries is 5/16" in the high pressure fuel hose. I need some for mine but gave up the search.

edit: just found a 25' roll here for $92!

Mcmaster car has the oem style sleeving on page #737. I think it's part #6172T13. Not sure of the exact ID we need.
