There was a picture of a red quad on here somewhere that had those.It did change the whole look of the thing.#1 reason for them I bet is engine noise.Would be cut quite a bit.

My question also... wouldnt that cause a rise in the running temp of the motor and restrict the movement of air across the motors surfaces

Yes for sure but they run them on the roads in europe so would probably be enough flow since no dirt and higher speeds.

I was thinking about cutting them just like stock side spars, BUT not cutting the part that covers the frame...
