This is not cannondale related, well it sort of is. My son has a cannibal and I have a kfx400 and I sorta took over the cannondale. Any way he races motocross with the kfx and I am wanting to widen it, I don't no if I should go with +3 or +2.

Make it as close to 50" wide as possible, but not over.

Why do you not want to be wider than 50"?

Anything over 50" and you break the rules for motorcross width.

Out here where we race, to my knowledge they don't have much for rules. Show up and race. We use 2 gates per quad. How wide is a gate. The gates are not homemade. I assume there is a standard size. But regardless, I think the +2 will be my choice then. Thanks for the info.

When he gets better and you choose to take on some different races, you will be glad you stayed within the general guidelines of the racing bodies. If not you will be buying more parts later.

The other ting is I would really be surprised if anything made for the 400 would break 50" anyway. +3 would still be ok.

Full Flight makes some pretty good arms and they are relativly inexspensive
