Backfiring... what is causing it?

I have my flowrate at 2450, offset at .85.... and the quad backfires on deceleration..... but runs perfect otherwise....


Any ideas?

What kind of pipe do you have?

Also, what are your stock injector settings? I've found that an injector offset too far below stock will result in backfiring while decelerating.

Maybe.. mine does the same thing, backfires alot on decel, but runs fine otherwise, all my plugs are black as night, and my red hmf is turning black, my dad thinks its the coil.

that was my problem...richened up the flow and bingo...no backfire on decel..twisted...sounds like you need to do the same, its hard on the engine runnin that hot...and your pipe is gon fall apart.

A leaky pipe will also do this bad.

Its no leaky, its in mint condition...

Can I send my ecu to someone to richen up my flowrate? I cant keep runnin her like this...

I have a full HMF exhaust, and I smeared a good amount of red rtv where the pipe and header meet... don't think it is a leak.

And twisted, see if there is someone in your area with a D&M, if not I would be more than happy to set your stuff.
