I bought this for a restoration project. I have always wanted the lengendary 82 RM 250Z. I am not done, but have added all new plastic, brake cables, seat foam and cover, and Glamister rigged my exhaust silencer from an 05 RM250 as the 82's were a sealed unit and as big as a hot dog roll. He did an outstanding job and the rear braket on the silencer is now bent down so it can hold a flag if I want to head to the dunes. The 82 sports a DG pipe.. It needs some oil in the forks or something as they are to soft.. I replaced all the case bolts that were phillips heads w/ stainless allen heads. Needs a new rear tire.. Picked it up for 900 and am into it another 500..

Waiting on my front number plate..

Might dive into the motor and reeds this fall or winter. It runs good though!!

Maybe, but more of a novelty item. My bro has a super clean 82 CR250. He drove to San Diego to get it for 1300. He put it on Ebay and the bid got to 3400 and he decided not to sell it..

Those older bikes are awesome. My dad bought a yz125 new in 1980 and finally sold it in 1997. I also had a buddy with a rm400. That thing was a rocket especially when we used to ride it even though the throttle wouldnt stop sticking.

Those are some sweet bikes! I wish I could find something like that sitting around here. Most of the stuff around here that old, actually looks that old.
