Woods quad project

I bought a new 03 Cannibal back in August and started setting it up for the woods. A few people have been following my progress and suggested I start a thread.

I had my son do the break-in then dropped the motor and installed stage 8, motor mount update, oil line update, steel oil pump gears, evans and redline.

On the first ride I noticed it had alot of vibration compared to my Speed so I figured it had an unballanced crank and dropped the motor again and have been slowing finding time to work on it.

So far it's got:

Houser +1 arms
Lonestar axle
Moto Ohlins with Quadshop SSD conversion
Tag x5's
Blaze cycra handguards
Cannondale nerfs
PRM belly and swingarm skids
Pingle kill switch
Hipers with kenda's (moved from the Speed)
AC bumper
and a Cannondaleriders graphics kit
HMF - black (should be here this week)

The motor:
new 02 billet crank + reworked by Winky
updated crank bearings from Winky
stage 8 kit
steel oil pump gears

I've also got a new "red" piston and sleeve kit and gapless rings, but it will probably end up with a new 450 (top secret project). If I don't have to wait too long it will probably also get an RDO ported head.

Thanks go to Haydug, Big Winky, Quadshop, R&S Performance, Champion Motorsports, Maz, and ATV Addiction.

Here's a bad pic from when I brought it home

Hey Jay - couple questions

What offset are those Hipers? 4/1 or stock 3/2 ?

How do you like that width in the woods?

How do you like the Houser +1's long travel setup ?

Thanks - Zack

The Hipers are 4/1

It's basically stock width maybe an inch wider, should be much better than the Speed in the woods, it's 49"

The quality of the Housers looks good, haven't been able to ride it yet with the motor on the bench. Haydug is running them on his woods bike, he could give you some feedback.

You should buy them both!! You know how awesome these bikes are, and parts are plentiful now, so no excuses!!

Have you modded your Yamaha yet?? I have a stock front-end and axle if you interested in spare parts. Should have some more parts to in a couple of weeks (swingarm, rear shock, stem, etc.)

Doug, Doug, Doug....:head: .....have I modded my Yamaha yet.....might as well ask if I breathe air, my friend....biggrin.gif

I am waiting on a bunch of parts at the moment, I appreciate your offer for spare parts as well.

As for the Cannibals, it's true; I do know how great these machines are, but right now my wife is trying to convince me how great hardwood floors are....DOH! JIM
