hello, i have recently got a 2001 fx400, it needed some parts, i just got a new battery, starter from a cannibal, i need the ecu wiring harnes and the clutch lever and cable, does anyone now if i can use the wiring of a cannibal bacause i cant find any parts from a fx400, does anyone have this parts?

I think as long as you use a harness designed for the MC500 computer you will be fine.... I think all the FX400's had the MC500, but am not sure. Anyways, I don't think you will have a problem as long as the new harness is set up for the same ECU as the original one...

I wonder if he could just buy a MC1000 ECU and Cannibal wiring harness for the MC1000, and just use those?????

500 wiring harnesses usually sell on ebay for less than $40. the 1000 computer and harness brings $150-200, but lacks the crank position sensor the 500's have.
I bet it would work though.

If you haven't heard this machine run, i'd expect some engine troubles.

I believe 500 computers only came on fx400's and early cannibals.I know ATK has the clutch cables,they have the shorter ones which need to be rerouted as per the bulletin.
