I wonder what else would be required to update my 500 with that 1000.
wiring harness? what else?

Ryanstones, I thought that they would just hook right up with the same harness. If you have the 500 you should seriously think about getting the 1000. When you get a remap it is like the first time you rode your cannon all over again. The power difference is huge.

Hey ryan, over at rsperformance the upgrade kit from 500 to 1000 they offer has ecu, injectors, wire harness and throttle body.
I dont know if you need it all or not but that is the way they offer it.

yea, the factory upgrade is like $950! hehe, i think i'll just wait.
What are the odds that ebay ECU is even any good? Less than 20% i'd guess. Actually, there is no real motivation to upgrade. The 500 was dead on reliable and can be remapped for a silencer. I won't be upgrading exhaust til i torch the round stocker. BTW, I'll finally be picking my engine up next week with new piston/sleeve/valves. Now we'll see if i can put it back together!!
She's in a sad state right now!

sad and lonely, but hopeful

Hey, I saw more that time, but still not all of it. Anyway, you ought to reroute the front brake cables between the a-arms while their easy to get to!

That is the same shape mine is in right now. A sad sight.

Was over at R&S last week (dropping motor off) and Kyle had a FX to do the conversion to. He said everything listed is needed.

I like my old 500 system, too. Think I will stick with it till it pukes.
