ATK Evolution

#1 Post by cannondale27 »

ATK sent the dealers a video recently which was very informative and exciting.
At one point in the video the narrator says "We are coming out with new and improved products"This is the picture that is showing while this is being said.It is a picture of a quad that looks very interesting:) (taken of my tvscreen)

if anyone remembers, i think atk has some experience building quads. was it in the late '80's that dirt wheels built a quad using all top shelf parts and an atk 604 engine? atk was going to build a limited number of them. not sure if they ever did or not. the $6000 price tag was astronomical. what a difference a few years makes!

I beleive its a pic of the old Husaberg's. I beleive ATK bought the rights too them if I'm not mistaking.

Good call Dale512! It is the Husaberg. I remember the reinforcement on the bottom edge of the lower A-arms. If I remember correctly those quads had numerous problems. Couldn't even make it through the magazine testing without falling apart.

ATK did not get the rights to the Huskaberg quad. I read that in a rag about three years ago. I asked Frank about it and he said no agreement was reached... I was at ATK the day Wade and Frank made the video. It was actually quite funny, but those parts were edited..

Sandstorm; since you were there, is ATK coming out with their own new quad soon or did they just use footage of a Husaberg?
