''dinli'' 500cc article

i found this 4 page write-up'' in the june 2002 issue of atv sport'' titled 'from the other island-inside taiwanese powersports manufacturer dinli' . i wish you guys could read this article and some of you probably already have , but here is a pic of a side bar ,i hope it is readable ,remember this article came out in june 2002 !

If it was in 02 then no. Cannondale was still in business then. maybe they have been trying for a while to get this off the ground and figured this was the best way of doing it.

they have the motor all dinli has to do is figure a way to put it in the cdale frame, remember dinli said they were coming out with two models a 500cc and a 450 for mx.

I did not see any racks on the new Dinli "prototype"
The article says utility, hope my dale is faster than an old utility quad.

I posted about that article on the cannondalers and never got any answers. I was more interested in the fact that the article said that Dinli supplies a 500cc EFI engine for an Italian-Built Dirtbike, but I can't find any information on it.

I am thinking they were in the planning stages of this for a while. They saw the chance to get a big jump with the Cannondale. Not having to design all the pieces again just tweaking the way they want. Supposedly the 500cc is somehow being based off the original Cannondale motor. Or at least by the guy who designed it.

Man, a 500cc cdale, that would be insane!biggrin.gif I would hope that it would have increased relability, though.rolleyes.gif
