VP fuel question

#1 Post by cdaleracer52 »

i have a dale with a fresh rebuild, i just put a wade wilcox high comp piston (updated piston), clutch, stage 8, and oil pump. i was just wondering if it would hurt my engine now or in the long run if i ran vp c12 mixed half and half with sunoco 94?

i guess no problem to use the c12 ( leaded fuel ). there members use them here and there other face problem coz leaded fuel damage the o-rings.

i recommend u to go to Vp U4 ( 104 octane ) and its unleaded fuel

thanx

I ran VP 12 in mine with a 50 50 mix of Mobil super and the machine really liked it.

VP has a fuel that is oxygenate and is illegal to run in sactioned races. Is it the U4 or something else? I can't really remember.

I would stay away from the Ultimate 4. I have seen several Honda 450 heads that have the ports eaten away by this fuel. I don't know if it effects the Cdale heads the same way , but I don't want to be the one to find out. Unless your engine is modified beyond 12 to 1 compression a higher octane fuel is not needed.

i ran c12/92 octane premium mix for a logn time it was a 50/50 on the same set up you have..

you'll be fine as long as you have an 03 tank style, the older ones with the fitting in the back expierience o-ring sweling with the higher octane gas

i dont know the differance between c12 and ultimate 4 but my compression ratio is 14:1. When i use sunoco 94 my quad breaks up.
