What do you guys think about an 03 Cannibal for 4800. SHould i be scared of all this chapter 11 talk?

Thats a deal if i ever say one. Do not be scared. There are parts out there. You would feel stupid if you did not buy it and then the motorsports division gets sold and then everything is peachy.
In other word pick that up before someone else does, you will not be disapointed.

Or 4600 for an unused 02.

Go for the 2002 leftover , i assume the 03 is used? For the $200 difference, You don't want someone elses headache.

No, they are all new. I found a dealer who wants to clear out his inventory so he is selling at mad cheap prices. Damm, this is cheaper than a new 400ex@#$. Actually he said he is going to hold on to a few models and ride it out and he thinks someone will pick up Cannondale and they will be more expensive in the future.

good deal, I was in the same situation. See what they are asking for a Moto. you might be suprised, I was. But in your case i would go for the 03.

I am trying to see what changes were made from 02-03. On C-dales web site it says the 02 has a 11600 rev limiter while the 03 has a 10600. And i think the clutches were changed a little. I think a Cannibal is all the quad i would ever need plus price is a bit of an issue and i can't ignore these prices. I started out on a 230 Suzuki, to a Blaster, 400ex and now hopefully Cannibal. I still miss the Blaster because it was a such a small fun little quad and prettty fast for a little 200, it would give a stock 400ex a run for it's money, our Blaster had the typical mods.

To my knowledge all cannibals have the rev limiter set at 10600 the 11600 figure on the website is a misprint. The extra 1000 rpm does not make a huge difference, however, because you'll be shifting before the limiter anyway. The speed map does pull harder, and, if you change the exhaust the moto and blaze maps are supposed to be very nice.
