I am currently looking into a new set of tires.I mx only but am looking at a 20" rear and a 21" front in the forn of Holeshots.Anyone ever use this combo for mx?

I have ran a combo similar to that. But why 20" tires in the rear? I ran them for awhile and now run 18's and would never switch again. The 18's are so much better. I currently run 21" fronts though and like them but would rather have 20's actually.

yeah I thought most mx setups ran 18" rears

We tried the 20" as well but the 18" are best. The 20" is just a little edge if the track gets very rutted (like southwick) down side is way to much side wall flex. We run Razr's front and rear.

holeshot mxr4 in the back and mx in the front, another good tire choice is the razr front tires grooved with cross grooves like lost creek cycles does!

I run kendaclaws front and back. 20-19fronts and 18rears.
they seem to bit good and cost a lot less!

work good for tracks like swick, but don't slide near as well as the other mx tires, feel like they hook up good too, but when u go to a softer compound tire the difference is amazing

razr/holeshot is the way to go! i have kendas and have treida ll these tires in multiple occasions

So what do you think about a 21" Holeshot tire? The more agressive xc tire with the same pattern as the mx?

I know a guy running those. he seems to like them but always said the MX's were better b/c they were too wide or something and didn't quite hook up the same. However, he still uses them b/c they last a LOT longer which IMO is worth buying.
