hey i found this one on ebay with not too much time left, should i buy it? i know its got some stuff wrong with the motor but i like projects and building motors...lemme know what you guys think....

I would guess your looking at $1k-$1500 to rebuild the engine. Im just guessing at that # others might know better. At that price your getting close if not up to the cost of a running bike.

Yeah buy it. If it needs a crank Trav on cannondaler.com in the misc. forsale section has an old style crank forsale for $150 bucks. It's an old style billet crank and rod. Buy a $40 dallar Z-400 bearing and your good to go.

Oh and Trav is a good guy to deal with, I bought one of the cranks from him.

put in a bid for like 1,000 at the last minute if no one bids, then contact the dude and see if he will sell it out of ebay. CHEAP. or maybe see if he wants to trade for two blasters?>?

yeah...thanks slithers...so what if i keep askin people if they want to trade er not, its worth a shot, and its the only thing i have till someone buys em, so dont be a ****...

I talked to that guy about a week ago about it for a friend. He said it was still running when he quit riding it. Said there was tons of shavings in the oil filter. Seemed to be pretty honest about things. Said he would keep it but afraid if he repairs it, it'll do the same. Told me that ATK said it needed a crank bearing and nothing else to be good again though so he's not in the know really.
Seems like a farily decent buy but for the price to make it reliable if you really want to go for it, you could get a much better deal.

nah i didnt win it, i emailed the guy with a couple hours ago seeing if he would take 1700 and he said he would but someone already bought it, wish i did tho, owell, just gotta keep my eye out for another one....
