You might be able to get one to fit, but you won't need tires anymore. I would say the largest is a 42 tooth. Otherwise you would be dragging your chain!

it will fit but you will defenetly have to remove your swinger skid plate. I used to run a 45t on rearand it was the max you could go without removing the skid.

why in the world would you want to put a 50 tooth on it anyways? i'd think with that ktm engine you'd want to gear it higher...

So where did you get a 45 tooth rear sprocket?

I just talked to timbomoose and he said he had a few 44 tooth optional gears left. ATK is out of them. You can order custom gears from most aftermarket gearmakers . Just tell them its for a 400ex so you get the correct bolt pattern.

Cool. I could never use those around here, but I was wondering why you just wouldn't change the front sprocket first.

I might be able to make you a deal on a 46T. I don't think anything much bigger will fit on a Dale. The swing arm gets in the way.

We have a 16T at the front right now and we can't make that one smaller coz that will kill the chainguide. But we could try a 15T at the front and a 45T at the rear.
Hopefully the 15T will not kill the chainguide to fast.

Ok, I just had a look at a very interesting gearing chart from Thomez at cannondaler.com, and I think a 15/45 combo would do perfect. It will be the same as 14/42.
