I have owned a couple. The later ones are not bad bikes, but stay away from 85-86 LT250Rs unless you can get them extremely cheap.

yeah, i found a deal on ebay-86 and a 92 complete 250s came with 3 topends 2 bottom ends and 2 extra frames---1500 bucks 500 miles awy though dont know if it would be worth it

thats not to bad as long as nothings bent/ nice thing about two strokes is the fact that they are extremly simple and easy to work on and they are still quick so i would actually reccomend a 2 stroke. thats just me though.

yeah, i love my cousins 88 and 95 banshees.....that is when they run, 2 stokes never start worth the **** so i'd rather have a 4stroke

if they are not starting then the jetting is wrong, simple adjustment the bike should start first kick.

you just have to watch alot of parts from the 85-86 not the same as the 87 to 91 are almost the same 92 they changed the swingarm shock setup I have a 90 and my brother has a 92 and the only difference was the rear end. Never had any problems with mine start 1st or 2nd kick all the time just wanted a four stroke so bought a cdale and love it.
