No, the software is not married to that computer. The Code for that D&M is strictly for the ECU it is bought for, but you can call Optimum and get codes for other ECU's. Supposedly you get 2 free and anymore cost $50, but a lot of times they do not charge for anymore.

I think it was the DealerCal program that worked as you described. The regular D&M kit can be installed on as many computers as you like. It will work as long as the proper ECU codes are installed.

oh ok, my bad guys. I guess the version that I tried to load the first time was dealer cal. It would not let me load it because I did not have an authorization number for that computer. Sorry if I caused any problems.
