by chance does anyone know if there's a special puller for that stator assembley?
You need either a Cannondale flywheel puller or equivalent(26x1.5mm right hand threads).

No there isn't a special puller for the stator just 3 allen screws and it's out. You will need a puller for the flywheel like Dachshund states above.

Trash those stinking allen screws and put yourself a few phillips in their place. Pan head fit great and clear the flywheel. Those allens suck and strip out too easy.
